Abstract

The dataset contains three videos of the spectrum analyzer screen showing the frequency spectra of a pair of opto-thermally driven, mechanically coupled, non-identical micromechanical oscillators. In all videos the laser power is continuously increased and then decreased. In SM_MinimalCoupling.mp4 the oscillators are minimally coupled and exhibit a drift state in oscillations at all laser powers. In SM_StongCoupling_shortfreqspan.mp4 the oscillators are strongly coupled via short silicon bridges and the oscillators exhibit synchronized oscillation at low laser powers and irregular oscillations at high laser powers. SM_StongCoupling_longfreqspan.mp4 is the same experiment as SM_StongCoupling_shortfreqspan.mp4 but repeated with a longer frequency span in the spectrum analyzer display. This shows the higher harmonics in the nonlinear oscillations. Supporting captions are included in the videos.
