New configuration of Waveguide Triplexer with Frequency Multiband BPF with the Purpose of Improvement of Return Signal Losses and Diminution of Time Delay for Application of Short-band Telecommunications Radars and Optic Devices

Abstract 

In this paper, the design and fabrication of Waveguide Triplexer (WT) model in 1GHz-5GHz frequency band width, with the capability of determination of three frequency bands (first band: 1700MHz to 2200MHZ, second band: 2600MHz to 3100MHz, and third band: 3500MHZ to 4000MHz) in Band Pass Filter (BPF) structure in the form of a separate branch for each of the triplexer branches have been simulated. The purpose of this investigation is diminution of return signal losses and improvement of signal isolation and, as well, diminution of signal time delay in multiband waveguide triplexer filters. The technical structure of BPF geometry has been designed in the form of rectangular geometry of T-shaped waveguide, with regular transverse cylindrical cavity configuration in radiation proportional to H-Plane and E-Plane. One of the other advantages of this investigation is seen in full wave transmission with the least signal deviation and weakening. Also, it has application in telecommunications radars and optical devices industries. The dimensions of the proposed design are 5.99λ0*2.9 λ0, the dimensions of which have diminished. The proposed design has been simulated in CST Microwave Studio.

Instructions: 

In this article, triplexer design, having multi-band waveguide BPF structure, with 1GHz-5GHz microwave frequency band width, is simulated in CST software. Its designing technique, in the form of branching (triplexer) structure of each separate branch for triple filter (first band: 1700MHz to 2200MHZ, second band: 2600MHz to 3100MHz, and third band: 3500MHZ to 4000MHz) proceeds with a common connection as a filter resonator network in radiation of electromagnetic waves on the surface of the substrate, which is performed in H-Plane and E-Plane. The waveguide filter with rectangular geometry has cylindrical cavity structure with a circular cross section. Its application is in short-and medium range receiver and sender telecommunication radars and optical devices.
