Abstract

This file contains one-year measurements of demand (average 11 kWh/day), Electric vehicle charging (3 kW rating), and PV generation (3.3 kWp) for a household in London, UK.

This dataset is associated with the following paper:

A. A. R. Mohamed, R. J. Best, X. A. Liu and D. J. Morrow, "A Comprehensive Robust Techno-Economic Analysis and Sizing Tool for the Small-Scale PV and BESS," in IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, doi: 10.1109/TEC.2021.3107103.

Which can be downloaded directly from (https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/247179050/FINAL_VERSIO...).

An open-source tool for the small-scale PV-BESS system sizing and profitability: https://uk.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/98279-pv-bess-analys...

Instructions:

The dataset starts from 1st January to the end of the year with 30 minutes time-step (17520 points/year).

All measurements are in kW in the following format:

Demand (kW) (first column)

PV (kW) (second column)

EV (kW) (third column)

Hi

I am PhD student from FCUL, Lisbon. I am doing reserach on forecasting energy production for PV. I am interested to see your resreach and data. Can you share your dataset with me? If so, please inbox me a download link at my email adress: jcsimoes@fc.ul.pt

Thanks

Hi Joao, the dataset is included with an open-source tool that examines the PV-BESS techno-economic analysis, you can download the tool and the dataset from:
https://uk.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/98279-pv-bess-analys...

or

https://github.com/ARa2of/PV-BESS-Analysis-Tool

Please let me know if you have any inquiries.

Regards,
Ahmed

Dear Ahmed Mohamed,

What is the initial and final timestamp for your dataset? Since there is no timestamp column it is hard to know both what time of day the data was taken at and how stale the data is. I read your paper however in the Case Study section it does not mention the date range, only how the solar generation is modeled by averaging 3 patterns. Thank you for your work with the PV-BESS tool, very interesting!

Kind regards,
Xavier

Dear Xavier,

Thank you for your comment, I am happy that you liked the PVBT and the paper.
Regarding the timestamp, the data starts from 1st January to the end of the year with 30 minutes time-step (17520 points/year).

Please let me know if you have any other inquiries, I'd be happy to respond.

Regards,
Ahmed

Hello,
I'm an international student doing M.Sc Renewable energy engineering at UCLan. I'm doing a research on the power consumption of EV chargers in UK and I would like to access your database on EV profiles. Can you guys please share it by provide a download Link. If so, your help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.
