Abstract

The aim of the database consists of providing the researchers with a collection of power quality real-life impulsive events to test experiments and measurement instruments. The dataset provides signals recordings from the power network of the University of Cádiz during the last five years (electrical network according to the UNE-EN-50160: 2011).

The dataset offers a diversity of real impulsive events, which are specifically acquired in order to test Power Quality Instruments according to the UNE-IEC 61000-4-11: 2005.

The signals have been designed from the basis of representative single-isolated events for a 50-Hz network with a sampling frequency of 20 kHz (400 samples per cycle).

The real-life signals, with a duration of less than 3 seconds reveal different impulsive events. This PQ transients affect the sensitive equipment, may reset industrial control systems and also produce failures in motors and equipment outages, with the subsequent performance degradation. Consequently, the signals are helpful in order to test the performance of the instruments.

The dataset is used as the experimental analysis subject of the interdisciplinary project TEC2016− 77632 − C3 − 3 – R 358 - COntrol and Management of Isolable NanoGrids: Smart Instruments for Solar forecasting and Energy Monitoring (COMING-SISEM), supported by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness in the work flow of the State Plan of Excellency and Challenges for Research (https://www.researchgate.net/project/COntrol-and-Management-of-Isolable-NanoGrids-Smart-Instruments-for-Solar-Forecasting-and-Energy-Monitoring-COMING-SISEM-TEC2016-77632-C3-3-R). The project involves the development of new measurement techniques applied to monitor the Power Quality in micro-grids.

Instructions:

In order to facilitate download the registers, we group the signals in a ZIP file:

·         Impulsive events.zip [8.2 MB]

The registers are identified according their characteristics: type of event, date and time. Each folder related to voltage characteristics has a file identifier as META.txt, which contains the sampling frequency. For each recording a txt file and a jpg image have been added, for an easier

Hi,
I am doing my master thesis on PQ noise analysis and this datasheet looks very related and useful. Since I do not have access to the dataset, would you please share it with me or send to ali12af@gmail.com? I would highly appreciate if you could send me the related Matlab scrips if you have.
Thanks in advance,
Jan
