A licensed P.Eng. in Ontario, Mr. Zahid currently holds a Sr. Network Management Engineer - Protection and Control Planning position at Hydro One's Planning division since 2013. Companies he has previously been employed by include TTC, AREVA and GE during 2006-2013 where he worked in designing protection and control systems, relay technical and applications support, engineering services and technical marketing. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, current member of working groups of IEEE PES PSRC committee, collaborated on developing standards, guides and technical reports. Mr. Zahid is the past Communication and Media Chair of PEO Oakville Chapter and current Board Member and Webmaster of IEEE Hamilton Section. Abu Zahid earned his M.Eng. from Concordia University, Quebec and a combined B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Russia with concentration in Power System fields. He has 4 more years of post graduate research experience and continues to thrive in the same fields.
